8.5.1.1. Security measures at service

Treatment of coolant.
Do not inhale coolant of the conditioner or vapors of lubricant.
The irritation of eyes, nose and throat is possible.
Besides, for reasons of environment protection, we strongly recommend to use the equipment for a restoration/recirculation/recharge, during removal of R-134a coolant from air conditioning system.
At casual leak from system air working area before service renewal.
Do not carry out test for tightness or leakage of the service equipment and/or air conditioning system of the car with use of compressed air.
Some mixes of air and R-134a coolant showed are flammable at elevated pressures.
These mixes at ignition can become an accident cause or material damage.
The additional data concerning health protection and safety can be received at manufacturers of coolant.
Do not allow leak of coolant near an open flame or sources of heat.
Poisonous gas can be formed at contact of coolant with an open flame or a source of heat, such as cigarette and heater.
When working which can cause coolant leak extinguish or remove the specified sources of heat and provide the corresponding ventilation.
The treatment of liquid coolant constitutes danger.
Hit of coolant on skin can lead to a local frostbite.
At the treatment of coolant put on gloves and goggles.
At hit of coolant in eyes immediately wash out them clear water and consult with the doctor.

Coolant storage.
The container for coolant is under pressure. When heating a container, he can explode with dispersion of metal splinters and liquid coolant that can become the reason of a serious trauma.
You store coolant at temperatures below 40 °C.

Actions at the insufficient level of coolant.
If by search of malfunctions the insufficient level of coolant is found, do not complete charging (add) coolant.
As the exact amount of coolant cannot be determined by pressure in system, never complete charging system coolant.
At shortage of too big or too small amount of coolant, perhaps in system there are secondary malfunctions, such as damage of separate elements or deterioration in characteristics of system.
Therefore, at detection of insufficient level of coolant, completely remove coolant from system and fill the set amount of coolant.

Treatment of compressor oil.
In the compressor of this car use only ATMOS GU10 oil.
Use of PAG oil instead of ATMOS GU10 can lead to damage of the compressor of the air conditioning system.
You watch to spilling ATMOS GU10 oil on the car.
Hit of oil on the surface of the car can damage a paint and varnish covering.
If oil got on a car body, immediately wipe it.
Compressor ATMOS GU10 oil (PAG oil) absorbs moisture, than the used earlier mineral oil more effectively.
At hit of moisture in compressor oil air conditioning system can be damaged.
Therefore for prevention of hit of moisture in oil, establish covers right after use of compressor oil or removal of elements of air conditioning system.
