The forward cover of the engine is made of aluminum alloy and is combined with an arm No. 3 of fastening of the engine that reduces the weight and noise level. An opening for an adjusting bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft, a technological opening for an unblocking of a ratchet of the regulator of a tension of a chain and a technological opening for fixing of the lever of a natyazhitel when weakening a chain of the drive of the mechanism of gas distribution, are on a forward cover of the engine. On L3 engine models the oil pipeline and the integrated oil filter are on a forward cover (fig. 2.15).
