2.7.6.2. Check

Fig. 2.298. Measurement of a gap between internal and external rotors

Measure a gap between an internal rotor and an external rotor, using the probe (fig. 2.298).
If the size of a gap exceeds the maximum value, replace an internal rotor, an external rotor or both rotors.
Standard gap between heads of teeths: 0,18 mm.
The maximum gap between heads of teeths: 0,20 mm.

Fig. 2.299. Measurement of a gap external rotor and case

Measure a gap between an external rotor and the case, using the probe (fig. 2.299).
If the size of a gap exceeds the maximum value, replace an external rotor, the case of the oil pump or an external rotor with the case.
Standard gap: 0,175 mm.
Maximum gap: 0,20 mm.

Fig. 2.300. Measurement of a side gap of the case of the oil pump

Measure a side gap, using the probe (fig. 2.300).
If the size of a gap exceeds the maximum value, replace an internal rotor, the case of the oil pump or an internal rotor with the case.
Standard side gap: 0,03–0,07 mm.
Maximum side gap: 0,09 mm.

Fig. 2.301. Measurement of length of a spring of a plunger

Measure plunger spring length in a free state, using штангельциркуль with the nonius (fig. 2.301).
If length does not meet standard, replace a plunger spring.
Plunger spring length in a free state: 45,94 mm.
