2.2.13. Check of operation of the spool-type valve (OCV) (L3)

Disconnect a negative wire of the rechargeable battery.
Remove the operating oil valve.

Check position of the spool-type valve of the operating oil valve. It has to is in the provision of the maximum delay of the moment of opening or closing of valves of the engine, as shown in the figure 2.118.
If the result of measurement differs from the standard characteristic of indications of an ohmmeter, replace the operating oil valve.
Make sure that the rechargeable battery is completely charged. If it not so, charge the rechargeable battery.
Give tension of the rechargeable battery on conclusions of the operating oil valve and be convinced that the spool-type valve works and moves to the provision of the maximum advancing of opening or closing of valves of the engine. If the result of measurement differs from the standard characteristic of indications of an ohmmeter, replace the operating oil valve.

NOTE
Options of giving of tension of the rechargeable battery on conclusions of the operating oil valve:
– Plus the accumulator – on A conclusion, minus – on B conclusion
– Plus the accumulator – on B conclusion, minus – on A conclusion

Switch-off the rechargeable battery and be convinced that the spool-type valve returned to the provision of the maximum delay of opening or closing of valves of the engine. If it not so, replace the operating oil valve (fig. 2.119).
