1.1.7.34. External rear-view mirrors

Before a trip on the car check adjustment of rear-view mirrors. Carrying out adjustment of mirrors on the run can distract you from driving and observation of a road situation.
Remember that the right external rear-view mirror distorts the sizes and distances to objects: objects seem more remote, than actually.

Fig. 1.89. An external rear-view mirror with the additional sector of the review

The Mazda car can be equipped with an external rear-view mirror with the additional sector of the review (fig. 1.89).
The driver's mirror provides the wide sector of the review and consists of two zones (external and internal) with various curvature of the reflecting surface. External and external zones are divided by the vertical line. The internal zone is a usual convex mirror while the external zone provides to the driver the increased sector of the review back. This combination allows to estimate better a road situation behind when changing a lane.

Electric drive of adjustment of rear-view mirrors.
The electric drive of adjustment of mirrors functions if the switch of ignition is in the provision of "ASS" (auxiliary consumers of the electric power) or "ON" (ignition is included).
