7.2.2.2. Check of current on generator conclusions

Make sure that the rechargeable battery is completely charged.
Make sure that the deflection and a tension of a belt of the generator correspond to nominal rates.
Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
Install the ampermeter between a conclusion In and the plug.
Connect a wire to the negative plug of the rechargeable battery.
Switch off everything consumers of the electric power.
Start the engine and establish the frequency of rotation of a bent shaft – 2000–2500 min.-1,
Measure current at the generator exit. Measurements are performed on the "hot" engine at the air temperature of 20 °C and tension on conclusions of 13,5 Century.
Current:
at 1000 min.-1 – 0-75 A;
at 2000 min.-1 – 0-98 A.
Include the following consumers of the electric power one by one:
– headlights;
– heater fan electric motor;
– heater of back glass.
Make sure that current on a conclusion In the generator gradually increases. If current does not increase, repair or replace the generator.
