6.1.1. Safety pedal of a brake

The design of a safety pedal of a brake minimizes the size of reverse motion of a pedal. It provides mitigation of force of the blow falling on a lower body of the driver. At front blow the movement of the engine and other elements in a body causes the shift of an arm of a pedal of a brake And back, and it separates from B brake pedal arm. Movement back of the lever of a pedal of the brake connected with A arm support is prevented by the limiter on B brake pedal arm back. Thereof, movement of the lever of a pedal of a brake is suppressed with movement of an arm of a pedal of a brake of A back.

Fig. 6.2. Design and principle of work of a safety pedal of a brake of the Mazda 3 car: 1 – arm of a pedal of a brake And; 2 – limiter; 3 – a brake pedal arm In; 4 – brake pedal lever; 5 – support; 6 – return draft
