2.3.2.3. Check of a stopper of a radiator

Check the level of cooling liquid.
Remove a radiator stopper.
Clear a landing surface of a stopper of a radiator and the top hose of a radiator.

For check of tightness of a stopper of a radiator connect компрессометр to a filling mouth of a broad tank (fig. 2.212).

NOTE
At connection of a stopper of a radiator to a kompressometr apply water or cooling liquid of the engine on consolidation of a cover.

Create the specified pressure in a radiator.
Pressure: 127 kPa.
Make sure that pressure does not fall. Otherwise check system for leak of cooling liquid.
– If leak of cooling liquid – in the top part of a branch pipe of a hose, replace the top hose and a collar.
– If leak of cooling liquid – in the main part of a radiator, replace a radiator.
