Opens and closes gates. Usually, the core under the influence of a spring opens the gate. When vacuum from an inlet collector moves to a diaphragm compartment, the core is involved, closing the gate. The executive mechanism of the gate consists of a core, a compartment of a diaphragm and a spring (fig. 2.58).
